Dear Coach King:
We just returned from our "Official Visit" to UNC and wanted to send you a note of thanks for everything you have done for Forrest. Thank you for investing your time and talent
into our next generation. Many young boys have grown to big men, as players
and students of Coach King. You are making a difference.
Dear Brian King and OBA coaching staff,
Our family wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for the significant impact you had on Zach and his continuing baseball future. Zach joined OBA in the summer of '09, and soon recognized that the coaching techniques, high level of competition, and real baseball contacts would have a tremendous impact on the options Zach would have. Because of you and your staff (and Zach's ability), he improved, gained exposure, and recieved real interest at the Division I, Division II, and Florida junior college levels. Your advice on being patient and not jumping at the first opportunity was spot on. As Zach will be a 17 year old freshman, he chose to sign with Indian River State College and improve to find the perfect Div I opportunity in a couple of years. The coaches there spoke highly of your consistant contact and that they trusted you in your advice to them regarding my son. Quite an endorsement; one that was heard from other coaches at other schools as well. There are some that know coaches, but you KNOW the coaches and it makes all the difference. Thanks for all of your help and Zach will keep you informed of his progress.
Zach and Susan & Paul Gordon
OBA has been a wonderful example of great leadership and efforts to promote high school baseball students. I regret that this excellent program has been disbanded. For whatever the reason, it will be a huge loss to all boys with the passion to excel in baseball. Getting these players out in front of college coaches provides a service to the coaches, as well as the players. In my opinion, not having the exposure Brian provided to his teams, will be a significant loss to everyone involved. For those of us who appreciate all you've done, thank you Brian.
