Paul, Laura, Keitlyn, and Jacob Southern (Jacksonville University - soph. C)

We became a part of the OBA family Jacobs 14U season and have remained a part of the program even after transitioning to college. Why, because we believe in Coach King and his abilities to teach our son how to become the best player he can be and to help him reach and attain his dreams of playing baseball at the D1 college level and hopefully beyond. Simply said, Coach King knows the game and has the ability to mentor your son and help to find him the very best possible fit academically and athletically. I can not tell you how many hours of work he puts in behind the scenes to make sure your son is seen by the guys that will impact his future in the game. The OBA program is not just about learning the right way to play the game, it’s about learning about the work it takes to get where you want to be with practice, lessons, drills for offense and defense, strengthening, flexibility, agility, accountability and mental toughness. No one will have your back or work harder for you to help you succeed than Coach King and his coaching staff! He continues to push our son to be his best with texts and phone calls when he is at school and continued work on his skill set when he is home. That is why we will stay OBA STRONG!!!

Jay and Lisa Hicks (Parents of Jordan Hicks Embry Riddle - red shirt Jr. Infielder)

Our son began working with Coach King at age 11 to develop both his defensive and offensive skills. The success of these training programs allowed for a smooth transition to the "big field" and ultimately to becoming a successful high school player. The attention to detail and hands on approach was the driving factor that differentiated  the OBA program from other entities.

OBA also provided an extremely successful environment for our travel ball experience. Playing at the highest level insured exposure to college coaches , provided an ongoing developmental program, and created an enjoyable experience for the players and their families. The percentage of players from those teams that have experienced continued success at the collegiate and professional level is very high.

As we began to explore collegiate baseball opportunities, Coach King was integral in the process.....identifying potential "good fits" , assisting in introductions and tryouts, serving as a counselor in evaluating multiple opportunities. His work on behalf of his players continues well beyond the field and extends beyond their OBA careers. We remain very grateful for his work both on and off the field.

Justin and Michelle Cali (Parents of 2019 University of Alabama Commit Caleb Cali)

Coach King and the Orlando Baseball Academy played a large part in the development our son at such an important stage in his baseball journey. The jump from little boy baseball to big boy baseball is a big one. Coach King not only impacted our son in the obvious ways like skill enhancement but as importantly increased his baseball IQ and understanding of the game. One of the things we valued most about Coach King was his desire and passion to make all of his players better. Caleb is a better ballplayer because of Coach King

Jack Chambless (Head Baseball Coach Leagacy High School)

The Orlando Baseball Academy is for players who want to not only learn the finer points of baseball from people who know what they are doing but is also a place to learn the mental toughness that you must have to compete in college or professional baseball.

Dean and Teresa Simmons (Parents of 2013 Graduate Austin Simmons)

My son Austin Simmons got the chance to play for Coach King and the OBA baseball program. It was a great experience for not just Austin but for us as parents. Coach King gave 110% all the time and expected it from his players. He helped Austin get many looks and Austin ended up going to college to play ball on a scholarship for several years. He had a great college experience over his years of playing and Coach King keep in contact with Austin and our family. OBA’s facility was always open for his players who needed advice or get some batting practice in. Coach king will always be a part of our family. OBA is a great organization and coach King and his coaches will do everything they can to get your son to the next level. Thanks Coach King.
